40s 50s Vintage Dress Red Roses Jerry Gilden Spectator Dress sz S

A great little vintage dress by Jerry Gilden. This one has the Gilden Spectator label! According to the label it is most likely circa late 40s. This one is made of a vivid red rose cotton print with a full skirt. Back metal zipper. This dress was acquired as part of new old stock from a store in Pennsylvania. I can't tell that this one has been worn although it does not have the tags. Missing a belt. It is in excellent condition! Pictured with a crinoline underneath the skirt. Not included with the dress. Jerry Gilden was a maker of moderately-priced women's ready-to-wear in the late 40s into the 60s. He started his business in 1945 and was one of the top five producers of women's dresses in the U.S. just 10 years later! Don't meet yourself on the street! Stand out! Be yourself!
