60s Vintage Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman Maxi "Dress" Cat Suit Jumper

The "Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman" label was established in 1959. Rodgers and Silverman did adaptations of Paris designs. This is an outstanding Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman design from the 60's. At first glance it appears to be a vintage maxi dress. With a closer look you will see that it is really not a dress. It is in essence a maxi length one-piece jumper or lounger. Some might call it a vintage cat suit! This spectacular Shannon Rodgers design is made of an unusal micro pleated fabric with a vivid paisley print on black and orange. The colors include greens, pink, purple, black, gold and white. Features long full sleeves with two snaps on the cuffs for closure. A belted waist with a long matching black belt with fringe trim. The legs are super bell shaped with an extra wide flare of about 88" at the bottom of the legs. This garment should fit a number of sizes. It is blousened all over and roomy. Check the waist and bust measurments for fit. This would have been a hippie's greatest dream! Maybe you would like to go back to those carefree days! This beatuy is suitable for entertaining your friends, a night on the town, the dance floor, or a quiet evening at home. Step back in time with this Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman design! It is in excellent condition except for a couple of minor spots on one leg. I did not detect it until I began this post but there is a very tiny pin size hole on one leg. You cannot see it in the tiny pleated folds of the fabric. It is very small. Check out the measurements below and compare them with those of a similar garment that fits you for a proper fit on this garment.
