Vintage Christine Floral Needlepoint Handbag Purse

A beautiful and stunning vintage floral needlepoint and petitpoint purse designed by Christine of Detroit! Known for her needlepoint handbags during the 1940's. her handbags have become highly collectible. These bags have become so popular due to her use of soft colors in the needlepoint and beautiful ornate frames, clasps, chain handles and her jewel tone linings with pleated pockets. This lovely bag measures about 9 1/2" by 7" on a 2" base. The floral design is on a cream or ivory colored background with pinks, blues and greens in the floral needlepoint design. The frame is ornate goldtone with pearls on the snap closure. The interior is beautiful as well! It is a medium blue satiny fabric with one open compartment, one zippered side pouch and two pleated side pouches. There is also a matching coin purse inside. The label reads "CHRISTINE CUSTOM BAGS - DETROIT, MICHIGAN". This is a fabulous vintage needlepoint purse offered to you by Dena's Vintage Closet! It is clean inside and out. The only thing that I noted is a very small spot on the inner lining. Excellent condition!
